1911 Smyrna: Raissis Emmanuel, at the age of 11, starts practicing in cornice manufacturing, as an aider, besides his uncle Theodoros Lidgipeoglou, who keeps his own cornice workshop at the glass craft area of Smyrna - “ gyaladika ” - nearby the 3 directions crossroad of Agia Fotitni church....

1922 Athens: Raissis Emmanuel is now a refugee from M. Asia, due to the homonym disaster suffering, struggling to found his own workshop under very difficult circumstances.

He manages to open his first shop in Kalippou street – renamed in our days to Frynis street – in Pagrati neighborhood - Athens. He makes and sells frames, mirrors, pouches for wedding crowns and icons, decorative furniture like small tables, shelves, ... and glass windows....

Emmamuel's older son, Aimilios, follows his father pattern and joins the family business which continues to grow rapidly year after year, expanding in the import and wholesales sector while launching in the Greek market glazing products from Belgium, Germany, Italy, U.S.A. etc., developing to the distinguished company it is today...
